2026 Spirited, wise and wonderful photographic competition

To challenge the stereotypes of older people and showcase their achievements and interests.

We are keen to exhibit the top ten photographs at each Warrnambool, Hamilton and Portland libraries. The requested dates of the exhibition are Tuesday 9 June until Tuesday 23 June over World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) on 15 June.

Competition categories:

• Junior category: 9 to 15 years old
• Adult category: 16 years and older

10 Photos for each location will be selected for exhibition

Awards:

• Judges’ choice for image that best reflects criteria theme.
• Junior $100 giftcard for photographer & $50 giftcard for portrait subject.
• Adult $100 giftcard for photographer & $50 giftcard for portrait subject.

People’s choice:

• Junior $50 giftcard for photographer
• Adult $50 giftcard for photographer

Photographers of other 9 entries selected for exhibition will receive a $50 giftcard.
